  Air conditioning that is stuck on what feels like 16 degrees or lower. I work in a temperature controlled environment and never get cold in here I'm freezing cold.

  This hotel is completely run down with stains on the roof and carpet in both the rooms and hallways. Throughout the night you can hear rats running through the vents and cockroaches were found in our bathroom. There were also suspicious brown stains on some of the furniture especially on the lampshades by the bed.

  I have been a Rydges Resorts guest across Australia, and this hands down has been the worst experience I have ever had.

  Overall the hotel was a good value for the money. Located decently close to the Esplanade as well as restaurants and shopping. The front desk staff were very helpful and housekeeping always made the room look clean and fresh. There is free wifi which is always a good thing. The rooms themselves could use some updating. There were broken towel holder in the bathroom, a stained window curtain, cheap repair patches, and cracked tiles through the bathroom. The beds were just ok as the pillows and bedspread were coarse to the touch.

  Toilet and shower was covered in mould with all the grout lifting up out of the tiles, the popcorn ceilings above the beds were also covered in mould. Not what you expect when spending >$220 a night.

  If this wasn't paid for in advance by the company that I work I would be walking across the road to the backpackers and asking to sleep in a dorm room, it would be nicer service.

  Some of the staff were lovely but the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The breakfast cost $27 per person but the cold soggy food is only worth about a $1.20. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as it is not worth the price I paid nor the drama involved in organising the stay.

  From no available food before 6.30am no lunch available to having to wait 2 hour's for a meal cooked in advance and reheated. Told by the wait staff that she had been to my room twice and there was no answer while was sitting two feet away from the door writing email's.

  This hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance to club's, pubs, local attractions and amenities. The facilities on site are good. Lilo bar and restaurant is nice to hangout and have a meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only issue was the room decor is dated. The light curtain was mouldy and parts of the bathroom cabinetry was rotting. I had to pick out strands of hair from the bath towel. Despite this the rooms were clean and comfortable. Awesome to have buffet breakfast and WiFi included.
