    The lady that assisted my wife and I was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She could have sold us a more expensive vac, but instead she took the time to hear our needs and directed us to a vac that was the best compromise for our budget, location, and home.

    Really Disappointed. Purchased the Wertheim W2200 Pets Bagless Upright Vacuum from Godfreys online. After two months (maximum 8 uses) my machine started smoking whilst in use to the point I had to place it on the lawn in fear of it burning my carpet. On inspection I found the belt had burn't through which I found unusual, however I purchased another belt through Godfrey at a cost of $20 and within a few minutes of turning it on again the same thing happened. I rung Godfreys and explained the situation and was told I would have to bring it in store to be checked. I explained I live 2 hours away from the nearest store hence why I purchased it online to be shipped to me, and asked if I paid to ship it to them and it was found the product was faulty if I can be reimbursed for the shipping as it had barely been used, to which they replied no. They did however inform they would ship it back to me free of charge. I chose to hire a car and drive it myself as I wanted to explain the situation in person. I dropped it off and explained I would like it shipped back to me. A few weeks later I am called to say the machine is back in store and ready to be picked up. I again explained I would like it shipped back to me as I live so far away, to which they replied they couldn't. I rung the head office again who originally told me they would ship it back to me, and they again said they would. I explained that the shop is saying something different so can they call them and they said no they wouldn't and I needed to. So again I called the shop and explained I was told by their own head office they would ship it, to which again they said they wouldn't. I again had to call main office and finally got them to be in contact with their own store to organise it. I gave them my postal address of my 'then' house as I was moving and they informed me it would get there before my move date. Of course it didn't. Upon getting the vacuum cleaner back weeks after sending it in, I turned it on to use it in my new house, two minutes in the vacuum did the same thing, and again we had to place it on the grass in fear of burning my carpet. I rung the head office and informed them and asked for a refund. They followed up with a email which stated they would be sending out a replacement vacuum which was retailing for $50.00 less then my original vacuum. I wrote back and asked to receive the vacuum with a refund of the price difference or a full refund as I had originally asked to which I was responded that I wouldn't be getting a refund as the new product being sent was 'out of good will'. The final conclusion after all this from Godfrey's is that as they sent the replacement without my approval, I now need to pay or drive it 2 hours away to the closest store to finally get a refund for my faulty product.
