  Perth, at our own expense, to pursue further treatment through this clinic. We ended up seeking other specialist advice in Melbourne and arranged for a specialist in Melbourne to continue treatment. This all looked positive until we tried to have eggs harvested in Cairns and shipped to the specialist in Melbourne. That's when we were informed that unless we were planning to use this clinic for the whole procedure we would not be helped. Long and short, unless we were willing to travel to Perth to do IVF they would not help us, even though they have a clinic in Cairns that we had already spent tens of thousands of dollars at. All this because the head of the clinic could not be bothered to travel to Cairns to look after patients at the clinic he owns and operates. (After cancelling on us three times.) This is not a medical facility it is a business that over promises and under delivers and acts vindictively when they think they aren't getting their whole cut. Nurses and staff are lovely just don't expect to be treated with any understanding or compassion by the head doctors or owners of the clinic. If they are not making money off you the whole way they are not intersted.

  My partner and I are currently patients of this clinic in Cairns. We are in need of support in trying to have children so we went to this clinic for treatment. It all started well, very positive until we encountered some slight complications (which were very quickly overcome by other clinics.) That's when we were told we would have to wait or their head doctor to visit rom Perth. This was fine until he cancelled on us three times making us wait for six months for the procedure to be performed. Which was fine until it we weren't succesful on our first attempt, which is fairly common. After that we were told we would have to travel to Perth to continue treatment. Why would we consult a clinic in Cairns if we needed to travel to Perth? My wife and I are asking ourselves the same question. Originally from Melbourne but living in FNQ we would obviously prefer to travel to Melbourne if we required further specialist treatment. Family support, patient well-being etc. Upon hearing that staff in Cairns were unable to help us the only option let open to us was to travel to
