  I have been having my hair cut at Comachi for the better part of two years now. Simply put, there is no other place in Cairns that is able to understand the peculiarities of Asian hair. Plus, they actually understand what a simple haircut is (a rarity these days as salons try to outdo each other in offering complicated expensive treatments) - no fancy stuff if you don't want it. Standard cuts include a wash. Prices are comparable or better than the hairdressing chains. Having built rapport with some of the hairdressers, they greet you by name, and the atmosphere is bright, friendly and not edgy. Their English is not the best, but if you bring a photo or picture along, they will likely do your hair justice.

  I just had a hair cut at Komachi. I was so happy with my new hair style and every my co-wokers said this new hair style looks good on me. Thank you so much Ms. Mirai you are the best hair dresser I ever had. I'll see you again soon. :)

  Horrible experience! The hairdresser made a horrible haircut:( I am very disappointed, I asked her to make a straight bang !!!! She didn't not understand me. i am really going to cry now !!!! I paid 10 dollars for the haircut that makes me look horrible, the hairdresser is unprofessional, I think her English skill horrible, don't recommend any one to pay for their services! I will never come back to this salon !!!!
