  We had a gift voucher (from ANZ points) which I had rang Melbourne Hertz company and Cairns airport Hertz just to confirm 100% if I could use it to hire a car whilst holidaying in Cairns. Both companies agreed it could be used and I would have no problems hiring a car once I arrived in Cairns.

  Welli made a few phone calls and luckily was professional enough to work around a few issues and organize us to get a car using the voucher. She really went the extra mile for us. Her whole attitude was great and she is so suited to a career in customer service as she knows how to treat the public and is a asset to Hertz. We will definitely deal with Hertz again just due to her fabulous customer service.

  When I flew into Cairns airport I went straight over to Hertz and handed in the gift voucher and asked to hire a car. I was served by a lady named Welli. She advised me that a car needed to be booked in advance to actually hire a car with the point system . No one had informed me that I had to do this prior, even though I had made 2 phone calls prior to Hertz so it was a bit of a worry whether I was actually able to use my $500 voucher there and then. I was quite annoyed at this.

  Staff at the internal desk where amazing, fast friendly service and upgraded our car , couldn’t be happier. The girl at the car park both was super helpful as well .

  Terrible customer service. Staff at the desk particularly unhelpful. I then had to go through hertz customer service which was even worse. After 8 phonecalls, 2 emails and 5 weeks later I finally got an uncaring response. Hertz are terrible for customer service overall. Also do not be fooled by comparison websites- they are not the cheapest!
