Covering everything from the rainforest treetops to the Great Barrier Reef, this place is jammed with information.

This place can't be rushed, we took our time and although we skipped forward to catch some talks, however we went back to make sure we saw everything, you would be short changing yourself if you didn't.

Just opened few weeks ago than right new. Beautiful acrylic tanks, fresh and salt water, most of then fake background to ease water quality and maintenance, but these are really nice made, and most of the time you won't recognize it is fake drift woods or corals. Impressive tanks up to 2 millions liters I guess for the hammer sharks. Finally very nice and engaging young people working there, speeches clear and not too long, consistent and instructive explanations to motivate people to take care to submarine beauties. Aqurium are still young, not full tanked yet and some activities will open later (typically backstage tour for the most fish keeper of us) but it is already exceptional quality to me and I'm not sure I'll even try to visit another public aquarium in Australia ;)

Recently saw on the news that they are getting new additions in the coming weeks, will definitely go again in the future when visiting Cairns.

As a local, a little underwhelming. It's planet and the aircon is great I'll say that. Having been to other aquariums though I was left disappointed. Also, the restaurant at the exit is really unsuitable. What we need is a place we can stop by with the kids and grab a burger, drink and ice cream. The little fridge with twice-priced ice creams in the gift shop don't even offer a place for the kids to sit and eat it. Oh and don't get me started on the parking issues. Is this the best we could do?

Wow this place is amazing. Went during recent rainy day and spent hours here. This place is deceptive from the outside. The building isn't huge however it is packed with awesome staff and astounding displays/exhibits.

Food was mostly good. Asked for soft eggs. Came out hard. Pasta was great. Service needs to have a higher level of care factor. No meal check and didn't ask when plates were cleared. Good not great. Feel it's a wasted opportunity.

The staff talks were very informative, engaging and entertaining. The touch tank was fantastic. Seeing groups of adults devolve into big kids while getting to touch incredible sea creatures was awesome.

Ive had periods more enjoyable than this place. This bloke on the coral exhibit needs a cheeseburger and a pint, might make him happier. I spent 20 minutes here.

The women cleaning the tank was the best part as she swam around with a big brush and a tube between her legs.
